UNDER CONSTRUCTION
POPULATION. There are signs that Mathias may have had around 200 people living in the town at one point. Those people are all gone now, though, vanished to who knows where and leaving behind all their worldly possessions. There is no trace of what might have happened to them or if they might return.
HOUSING. Characters may choose to live anywhere in Mathias. Dozens of houses are available in the town, nestled in small neighborhoods that range from picturesque and utterly quaint to decaying and rotting from within. Or perhaps they would prefer the musty library or an office in the town hall. It is recommended that no one try camping in the forest.
PROVISIONS. Basic food, drink, and first aid supplies may be found in the small General Store which, while a tad dusty, is impeccably well-stocked. No matter how the shelves are depleted, they will be restocked by the next day with the exact same amount of each item, in the exact same position as before. Most buildings in town (including private homes) also have an emergency preparedness kit that will contain some combination of basic first aid supplies, prepackaged food, candles, and/or a manual hand-crank flashlight.
TECHNOLOGY. The technology found within Mathias is a strange mixture of old and nonexistent. All buildings have the modern conveniences of running water and electricity, but the technology is what one might find in the 1990s. There are also no computers or internet available, no fancy smartphones or flatscreen televisions anywhere to be found. If a character was unfortunate enough to be carrying a cellphone with them upon arrival, there will be no signal or network to connect to, and they had best conserve battery life while they can.
FLORA / FAUNA. Plant life still flourishes in and around Mathias, but there is no sign of animals or insects. The forest is deathly silent but for the wind heralding the approaching fog.
